Photography Class Week 2 - Lines

So this was week 2 of the photography class I'm taking and this week our instructions were to look for lines.  Once again, I had a really great time and found so many different types of lines - in architecture and in nature.  Following is my complete portfolio.

Since a couple of you asked last time, the first six are the ones I submitted for the class.

This is the fountain outside the Hotel Parisi in La Jolla where Joan and Barbara have stayed.  The bowling ball rolls in the water.  Pretty cool.

Gotta love the colors of the '50's.

This is my go-to retirement home.  It's run by Hyatt and is just a few blocks from my current home.  P.S.  I'm sure it's VERY expensive so save up, kids!

From my world to yours - just a frame away.

  1. I am seriously impressed with your artistic eye and all the lines you've captured! That is too cool! I do think, however, that you are spoiled with your locale and the subjects you have available. A fellow student in Detroit certainly doesn't have as much fun outside with their assignments. And I checked, the retirement home is booked...through like 2096.

    1. Thanks, Kenny! I am definitely spoiled with all the beautiful things to photograph around here. And keep checking back in with the home in case something opens up.

  2. You are so amazing at this...I'm a little jealous! And a lot jealous of your surroundings!!

As far as your retirement home, my first thought was "Yay, I'll move into her current house and maybe visit her sometimes!" :)

I'm so glad you're taking this class and doing this blog!

    1. Thank you so much, Joanie! I'm really having fun with the blog and appreciate your comments. Whoever visits me most at the home gets a bigger cut of the inheritance. Unless of course I've already spent it all.

  5. Really, really great pics. I always like to tell you my favorites. This post was probably the hardest to choose. I think I'll have to go with #1,2,6. Very nice.

And about the Hyatt...I've got you covered. *wink, wink*
